Crawford (name)
Crawford is a surname of English, Scottish and Northern Irish origin. In some cases it is a habitational name derived from several different places called Crawford (for example Crawford, South Lanarkshire, Scotland; Dorset, England; and Somerset, England). The placename is derived from the Old English craw, meaning "crow"; and ford, meaning "ford". The surname is in some cases also a variant spelling of the English surname Crowfoot (see Crofoot).[2]
